A typographic poster of New York City

The goal was to use a verse or text to create a silhouette of any object or subject. Since I admire Taylor Swift, I have chosen my favourite lines from her song, “Welcome to New York, it’s been waiting for you" from "Welcome to New York." As well as the iconic song, "Empire State of Mind" by Jay Z and Alicia Keys, “New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of.”

The technique to create a wavy look was the Warp tool to merge the letters to create the silhouette of the buildings. I have added shades of colors to add shadow and depth. In this case, the State of Liberty has two shades of green showing the folding drapes.
